Precision agriculture helps
us farm smarter.

Soil fertility levels can vary greatly across a wheat field. Some areas need more nutrients, and some need less. Yet, most farmers apply the same amount of fertilizer to the entire field. Eco-Grain™ farmers use satellite imagery to help determine fertilizer requirements in any given area of the field. This “precision agriculture” or “variable rate technology” helps apply precisely the right amount of fertilizer every time to maximize yield and grain quality, while protecting the environment.

Today 20% of the flour in EarthGrains® 100% Natural 24 oz. bread is made from Eco-Grain™ wheat, and we are committed to increasing that percentage as our bread sales increase.
